La respirazione: per vivere in armonia e in pace con se stessi
Al fine di vivere in armonia e in pace con se stessi è importante prendersi cura della respirazione. Sembra strano, ma solo poche persone sono in grado di respirare veramente bene. La maggior parte dei malesseri, sia di carattere fisico sia mentale, derivano proprio da una cattiva respirazione. La medicina occidentale ha trascurato per molto tempo questo fattore e, solamente da pochi decenni, alcuni medici e psicologi hanno cominciato a occuparsene, utilizzando le tecniche di training autogeno, o pratiche orientali di vario tipo. La cura basata sul controllo della respirazione ha lo scopo di rendere equilibrati e in sintonia la mente ed il fisico: utilizzando una corretta respirazione, infatti, si possono attenuare ed evitare patologie di carattere esclusivamente nervoso come: colite, gastrite, ulcera, stati d’ansia e di panico; nonché tutti quei disturbi che affliggono la colonna vertebrale come: scoliosi, cifosi, lordosi, ec
Chi respira in modo scoordinato e nervoso, infatti, agisce inconsapevolmente in modo negativo sul tono muscolare,
facendo assumere al suo corpo posizioni scorrette e determinando contrazioni e, conseguentemente, patologie, a volte irreversibili.
La respirazione può essere addominale o pettorale. E, nel primo caso l’addome si dilata durante l’inspirazione e si contrae durante l’espirazione. E, nel secondo caso la respirazione si effettua invece, a livello dei polmoni. Le regole fondamentali per una corretta respirazione sono: in fase di riposo la respirazione deve partire
dall’ addome per risalire fino all’altezza dello stomaco e in fase di movimento o sforzo, la respirazione deve iniziare dall’addome, diventare pettorale in fase di inspirazione e, in fase di espirazione, ritornare addominale per terminare con la fase pettorale, durante la quale l’aria viene rilasciata totalmente. Per portare l’individuo stressato a respirare correttamente si possono applicare esercizi di semplice esecuzione e di rapido apprendimento che, se praticati ogni giorno, portano alla mente e al corpo, immediati benefici. Studi sulla respirazione hanno reso noto che una persona può avere circa 18 respirazioni al minuto. Con la rieducazione respiratoria il ritmo della respirazione respirazione cala a circa 12 al minuto.
