Che cos’è l’infezione da virus herpes?
Esistono due tipi di virus herpes simplex, la forma che dà origine alle tipiche vescicole sulle labbra. Normalmente l’infezione primaria non dà alcun problema, ma in alcuni casi, in particolare nei bambini, si assiste ad un percorso tipico. Dopo un periodo diincubazioneche varia da alcuni giorni
a 2-3 settimanesi presentano infatti vescicole diffuse non solo alle labbra, ma all’intero cavo orale. Nei più giovani si può arrivare ad una vera e propria stomatite a cui si associano anche dolori muscolari, malessere generale e febbre.
Come si previene l’infezione da virus herpes labialis?
La prevenzionedelle recidive dell’infezione da herpes virus passa soprattutto attraverso ilmantenimento di una buona condizionefisica e psicologica.
